Maplebrook Farm Smoked Mozzarella

We take our 8oz handmade fresh mozzarella balls or our 4lb loaves and smoke them the same day they're made for optimum freshness and flavor. This is a naturally smoked product, with no liquid smoke added. An electric smoke generator smolders dampened cherry wood chips, producing smoke that is circulated through a low speed fan. This creates a delicate smoke flavor without an unwanted thick skin. Cheese is held in the smoker for no more than 2 1/2 hours, and then is hand wrapped and cooled.

Note: This mozzarella freezes very well. Simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight and enjoy!

 

Ingredients: Pasteurized whole milk, vinegar, vegetable enzymes, finished in a light sea salt bath.
